The Israeli Agency for National Security and Counterterrorism issued new travel advisories on August 24, 2015. The list warns citizens in what countries they risk becoming victims of terrorism.
In the last issue of travel advisories is Western Europe and Northern Europe specifically mentioned as a risk for terrorist attacks. The advice applies to the period from September 13th to October 5th. Specific countries mentioned are Belgium, France and Denmark.
The Israeli Agency for National Security and Counterterrorism does not go into the details of the terrorist threat but advises its citizens to be "extremely vigilant" to be in Europe for terrorism. This advice comes after the department has received information from several sources that there are possible attacks by jihadis will take place in European countries.
Besides attacks, there is an increased risk of kidnapping and hostage-taking. The threat comes from terrorist groups like Islamic State (ISIS / IS). Citizens of Israel is not recommended to travel to such places as traveling "not necessary".
