Mea culpa! I’m too late to invite you for the Lower East Side Festival For the Arts, where I did an excerpt of one of my plays, but I have a couple of other interesting events coming up:
First, you are invited to a private screening of God at Lovecraft Café/Bar (50 Avenue B between 3rd and 4th st. ) This is a special private event I organized for all my friends in New York, because a lot of people asked me about this film after seeing the trailer. I play Alice, who loses her memory and her boyfriend in a strange world controlled by a corrupt government.
$5 donation, 2 drink purchase minimum for guests. Because it is at a bar, you must be 21 or older to attend this event.
Edwin Brienen, the director, is from Berlin, and I’ve done 13 arthouse films with him.
Lovecraft is a lovely underground screening place with a bar, so it will be fun! Mark your calendar: June 13th! (13 is my lucky number.)
20% of the sales will be donated to Freedom Ladder to help end homelessness in NYC.
LOVECRAFT Cafe will be available for drinks and networking from 6:00 to 7:30 and the film will start around 7:30pm. A lot of other artists are coming, too.

Second, Black Magic for White Boys, a TV pilot that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, has been selected for the Lighthouse International Film Festival in Long Beach Island, NJ. It will be screened Saturday June 10th at 1.15 pm (90 min) at the Surf City Fire House. Bring your bathing suit.
Third, Safe Harbor Amsterdam, a film by Jack Luceno has been selected for the Official Selection of the Stockholm Independent Film Festival in July.
And here it is, the Eva Quiz (reply fast before Doug the editor snatches the prize again!):
Why do we suddenly get a chance to see one of the films Eva did with this mysterious director?
She decided to open up and not hide this part of her artistic life any longer.
You idiot! Because everybody is either too lazy or too cheap to order one of the official DVD releases on Amazon.
Because you can only watch this material while high.
She’s only doing this to celebrate the director’s birthday.
She was blackmailed by a homeless man. That is why part of the sales are going to the Freedom Ladder.
You can win: a drink at Lovecraft on the 13th of June.
