Happy spring! Memorial Day weekend, I will be in a film and a play at the Lower East Side Festival of the Arts at Theater for the New City (155 1st Avenue.)
I. On Friday, May 25th at approximately 8:18pm, I will play the title role in the play Toshiba.
The play was written and directed by Peter Welch and is best described as an existentialist theater noir that examines loyalty and a woman’s place at the top in the male-dominated world of underworld business. Toshiba will be in the Johnson theater. There are four different theaters, so don’t get lost!
II. On Saturday, May 26th, the film God is scheduled to begin at 6:16pm.
God is a psych-drama-thriller combo that tackles shady politicians, leaked documents and a lack of enthusiasm for religion. It was written and directed by Edwin Brienen. There will be a 5-minute Q & A following the screening.
Films run from noon to midnight, so feel free to stay for the duration of the festival.
All events are free and open to the public.
